4K vs QLED vs OLED: Which TV Technology Should You Buy?
"4K", "QLED" and "OLED" get thrown around like they're competing categories, but they're actually answering two different questions: resolution, and panel technology.
4K UHD — The Resolution
4K (or UHD) refers to pixel count — roughly four times the detail of standard Full HD. Almost every mid-range and premium TV sold today, including our Samsung Crystal UHD and Haier HQLED ranges, is 4K.
QLED — Brighter, Punchier Colour
QLED panels use a quantum-dot layer over an LED backlight to produce brighter, more saturated colours — great for well-lit living rooms where regular LED panels can look washed out.
OLED — Perfect Black, Best Contrast
OLED panels light each pixel individually, so blacks are truly black and contrast is unmatched — ideal for movie nights in a dim room, though panels are typically pricier and best suited to controlled lighting.
Our Take for Bangladeshi Homes
For most living rooms with daylight and mixed lighting, a 4K or QLED TV in the 43–55 inch range offers the best balance of picture quality and price. Reserve OLED for a dedicated home-theatre room with dimmable lighting.
